Foshan, one of the cradles of Kung Fu...
|
Known as the hometown of artistic ceramics, Cantonese opera, and martial arts, Foshan is a historic city full of life.
Many sights to see in this city such as: Zumiao Temple, Liangyuan Park, Four Nanfeng, South China Sea Temple as well as parks.
The sites are quite easy to visit as long as your GPX is correctly configured, which was not the case. But we always get used to it.

The history of Foshan dates back to the seventh century. The city of Foshan was born during the Jin Dynasty and took its name during the Tang Dynasty.
In the second year of the Zhenguan period of the Tang Dynasty (628), the ancients unearthed three Buddha statues there, believing it to be a Buddhist place. So they erected a stele there and changed the name of the city to "Foshan".
The oldest monument is the Ancestral Temple (祖庙), founded around the year 1080 as a temple of metal processors. Foshan is one of the birthplaces of Kung Fu. Some like to say that this is where this martial art practice started.
