Fireworks, Salon, France, July 2025
A very beautiful fireworks display in Salon de Provence for the National Day of July 14, 2025.
Of course, it was not the fireworks that were set off in Paris. But Salon de Provence does not have the Eiffel Tower as a support as well as the financial means of our beautiful capital.

In 1879, the nascent Third Republic was looking for a date to serve as a support for a national and republican holiday. The 14th of July, for its double symbolic value, was finally privileged.
The storming of the Bastille in 1789 stands out in the collective imagination as the victory of the people over royal arbitrariness, an event softened by the celebration of 1790 and its unifying dimension around a common event.

A big thank you Alain for your technical advice since it was the first time I photographed a firework.
