Races at the Hippodrome, Salon de Pce, France, June 2025
A nice outing with my friend Alain. This is a 1st for Alain. For all the years in Salon, he has never come to the racecourse to take photos.
I even played, not much. A bet "placed" on 2 horses. To win, the horse must finish in the 3rd. I had played the 2nd and the 1st. The 2nd came 3rd and the 1st, 4th. Too bad... Smiles...

The Salon racecourse was built in 1886. The racecourse consists of a 1,326m (0.82mi) pozzolan track, right hand and 20m (65.62ft) wide for trotting, and a 1,460m (0.90mi) grass track, right hand and 18m (59ft) wide for flat.
Why this racecourse? It must be remembered that Salon is the city of soap makers. These manufacturers are from the bourgeoisie and as in many cities, a racecourse is a place to see and be seen. This remains my opinion.
