The team is made up of 3 players with one substitute and the match is played on a half-court measuring 15x11m (36x49ft), with a single basket. The free-throw line is at 5m80, the 2-point line at 6m75 and the ‘no-load’ arc under the basket. The official basketball is size 6 for all categories.

Successful shots from outside the arc (6.75 metres from the basket) are worth only 2 points, while those from inside the arc are worth one point. The attacking team has only 12 seconds inside the arc to score. If the defending team recovers the ball, it must leave the one-point zone before attempting a shot.

The winner is the player who reaches 21 points or who has more points at the end of regulation time.
