Bangalore, India, October 2019
A surprising and multifaceted city. On the one hand, it is a modern city, but this modernity rubs shoulders with a world that still belongs to the past. I wouldn't talk about dirt or poverty...
I encounter this on every trip to the Philippines and it must be remembered that a very dense population does not facilitate this. I knew that cows could roam freely in India but I saw that in small villages. But no, in Bangalore, the cows roam according to their desires, taking advantage of the garbage bags to feed themselves. Cars pass by to avoid them.
Walking the streets of Bangalore is truly exhilarating. I would not speak of the incessant noise of the horns, which serve a bit of everything for the drivers. I would speak above all of the smells of the streets, the smells of incense when we walk. A city to discover on foot.
Thanks to Saiprasad for his kindness and help during this stay. Thanks also to Akshata, her husband and her son for their invitation to DivaliFind out more.
