Spécial, Kiev, Ukraine, October 2021
Is it the Halloween period which was approaching but the storefronts of restaurants, stores were all ready for this holiday. For historical background, the Celtic festival of Samain, whose origins date back more than 2,500 years, is considered the ancestor of Halloween.
I was also surprised by the modernism of this city. I have already spoken about payment with a credit card directly when going through the turnstiles for the metro. But you have automatic terminals that allow you to buy your transport tickets, add credit to your phone, ... Finally, for traffic, traffic lights whose support is itself studded with LEDs for complete visibility of its color. There are even light strips on the ground at certain pedestrian crossings!
The Story of the Plastic Fork Cat Photo: It's a whimsical piece of public art created by Ukrainian artist Constantin Skretutsky, known for his use of unusual materials. Cats have been very useful for centuries to fight against the invasions of mice and rats. Today, cats participate in the fight against another form of attack, that of plastic.
In the photos outside Kiev, it is worth noting a particular photo, that of the "bench to wish moms" . You have to tie a colored ribbon (blue or yellow) and make a wish for your mom.

This page is made up of 6 distinct parts following the order of the photos
Special: Special photos, the classics, including supervision before the changing of the guard in Parliament. You can see a 2mn video in the "Videos" section. The 1st is a bit special since it is a plastic fork cat, which I mentioned above.
Maria Maria Primatchenko: Displays of works by this Ukrainian artist. The following children's games must be inspired by these works. Some games are also used to make music like the colored pig.
Bessarabia Market: A large covered market with the usual stalls, if not is caviar sales in addition. This is a must-see market when visiting Kiev.
Restaurant: Storefronts and restaurants, with interior photos . The interior of Pervak restaurant is beautiful. It consists of several rooms. In another restaurant, Place de l'Arsenalna (to the left of the metro), you will also see a giant barbecue, whose grill-tray rotates. The special light comes from a tea room next door. Finally, a typical cafeteria in Ukraine that I really appreciated, cheap meals and a very nice decoration.
Outside Kiev: I was lucky enough to be able to visit an old holiday camp. The houses are being renovated to shelter people in precarious situations.
